Best Camera Bags for Traveling

Having gear is pointless if you can't bring it with you. There are lots of bags out there, but these are the ones that we own, use, and recommend. Depending on the trip and where we are headed, we work with different bags based on a mix of features, durability, usability, and discreteness.

Peak Design Everyday Backpack

This is a sleek, lightweight backpack with enough smart features, padded dividers you can customize to your gear, and it has pockets on pockets so you’ll fit plenty.

The design of this bag is incredibly smart. I keep finding new ways to use it. It is my favorite smaller daily backpack I’ve ever used (let alone the best camera backpack I’ve tried).

Think Tank Airport Roller Derby Carry-On

Since 2015 I’ve taken this bag to 4 different continents to film my clients and my own projects and it is still going strong. The four wheels roll easily, the storage options and dividers enable me to pack a ton of gear, and the TSA locking cable keep my gear safe. I usually throw a Tile in each bag too so I can track them better than an airline...

Shootsac Lens Bag

This bag is used when we are shooting on the go and need to switch lenses quickly. With no zippers, you can access the six compartments of the Shootsac quickly and without making any noise. It doesn't look like a camera bag either.

Tenba 48" Rolling Tripod/Grip Case

We sometimes need to travel with a lot of stands. Durable with one cavernous compartment, this bag allows you to put all your gear into one place. Although the Tenba can get heavy when fully packed, the wheels and sturdy handles keep it nimble.
